If your dog is well behaved, you pick up your dog's poo whether anyone is watching or not, and you are the sort of owners who actively towel and dry off your dog prior to coming in to the lodge, we welcome your pooch wholeheartedly. Please bring with you lots of towels and throws. We regret we are unable to take more than one dog per booking. Please contact us to plead your case for exemptions to this policy! We think the best times to bring your dog are the Spring and Autumn months, but you are welcome anytime. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SITE RULES ARE DOGS ON LEADS ONLY BUT LONG LEADS ARE FINE.
If you haven't been to Devon before, you will be amazed at just how welcome your dog is, and how many people stop to talk to you! Most of the local eateries and, surprisingly, shops are more than happy for you to bring your dog. In some cases, there are a few dog friendly tables if you are eating inside, so you may wish to book ahead to reserve one. It goes without saying that poo bags are are a must, and you will need to take fresh water with you, and find adequate shade in warm weather. Here is the link to the vet hospital in Torbridge, which we have used and recommend. REMEMBER, DOGS LEFT IN HOT CARS DIE VERY QUICKLY.
